CYO Track & Field Team 2025

Come join the Holy Spirit Track & Field Team! Run for FUN! Run for your health, mind and spirit! Kinder through 8^th grades. Kids can participate in sprints, distance runs, relays, jumping and throwing events (2 Field & 1 Running or 2 Running & 1 Field event combinations). Our focus will be on having FUN, good sportsmanship and being a beacon of Christian fellowship. No experience required. Athletes will train at their level.

Track Meets location:

Tennyson High School meets starting at 12pm on Sundays starting Mid March 2025. Last meet is the Championships held on May 10/11 usually at Livermore High School.

All Athletes must report to Holy Spirit Meet up area for check in between 11:15am – 11:45am.

***BE PREPARED TO BE AT THE SUNDAY MEETS FOR 4-5 HOURS***

Practice Schedule TENTATIVE start date:

***FEBRUARY 6, 2025- TBD Practices will be held on TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS***

Kinder through 2^nd grades practice will be at Holy Spirit School in the LOT BEHIND THE BIG GYM from *TENTATIVE 4PM – 4:40PM*

3^rd through 8^th grades practice will be at Holy Spirit School in the LOT BEHIND THE BIG GYM from *TENTATIVE 4:45PM – 5:30PM*

Starting around March 10^th- ALL GRADES Practices will be moved to the American High School Track due to Daylight savings.

K – 2 Grades from 4pm – 5pm

3^rd – 8^th Grades from 5pm – 6pm

Meet Schedule (EVERY Sunday except Easter) TENTATIVE start date:

Sunday March 17

Championships held on May 10 & 11 usually at Livermore High School

Registration:

Interested players for ALL Grades Kinder – 8^th Grades registration will be online through our Sombrero Link. Registration open NOW through 2/2/2025 at 10pm.

Registration forms must be filled out by parents before a child can practice. The Track Fees this year are $125.00 (Spartan Uniform is included) Athletes will receive a running tank and running shorts. Please make sure your athlete has comfortable Running Shoes.

2025 CYO Girls Basketball

Welcome to Holy Spirit Parish and the Oakland Diocese Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)

The CYO is a church-sponsored athletic program for students in 3rd through 8th grade. (2nd graders are also welcome to sign up.) Online registration for the 2025 Girls Basketball Program will open as follows:

REGISTRATION METHOD

Returning players do not have priority over Holy Spirit or Faith Formation students. Team selection is based on the following Oakland Diocese CYO guidelines:

Holy Spirit School Students
Faith Formation Students
Holy Spirit Parish Boundary Students

1. Current Holy Spirit School Students:

Registration opens: November 26, 2024
Registration fee: $225

No documents required for current Holy Spirit students (upload blank file/jpg).
Registration closes: January 17, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

2. Active Holy Spirit Parish Faith Formation Students:

Registration opens: December 3, 2024
Registration fee: $225
Create a Sports Connect account
The ASK fields will prompt you to provide necessary information.
The following documents are required for Faith Formation students:
Birth Certificate
Students will not be considered registered unless the birth certificate is uploaded.
Holy Spirit CYO will verify if the student attended classes regularly last year and the current year.
Registration closes: January 17, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

3. Holy Spirit Parish Boundary Students:

Registration opens: December 10, 2024
Registration fee: $225

The ASK fields will prompt you to provide necessary information.
The following documents are required for boundary students:
Birth Certificate
Proof of address (acceptable forms include a recent PG&E, water, or garbage bill. NOT ACCEPTABLE: paycheck stubs, cable bills, cell phone bills, or house phone bills)
Proof of boundary residency: Look up your address at https://oakdiocese.org/parish-boundaries.
Take a screenshot of the map showing your residence within the Holy Spirit boundary and attach it to your registration.
Students will not be considered registered if the birth certificate, proof of address, and boundary map are not uploaded.
Note: If you do not live within the Holy Spirit boundary, you are not eligible as a boundary participant.
