Faith in Action

Every practice, game and huddle is grounded in Catholic values that guide our players for life.

Values-Based Growth

Beyond drills and plays, we teach loyalty, resilience, self-discovery, and authentic teamwork.

Rooted in Community

Our coaches, parents, and players form a supportive village that nurtures the athlete on and off the court.

Long-term Journey

We offer a consistent, multi-year path where kids grow up together, building trust and lifelong friendships.

Where Character Comes First

At Holy Spirit CYO, athletics is the vehicle, but personal growth is the goal. We provide a safe, encouraging environment for young people to discover their potential, learn self-discipline, and practice their faith through teamwork, community service and fair play.

The Difference: “Pay-to-Play” vs. The CYO Journey

Most youth sports programs operate on a transaction: you pay a fee, your child gets court time, and the focus stays on the scoreboard. Holy Spirit CYO operates on a transformation.

We aren’t a temporary pit stop; we are a starting point for value-based self-discovery. From 2nd grade through 8th grade, our student-athletes don’t just learn how to play a game. They learn who they are.

TESTIMONIALS

HSCYO establishes a growth mindset culture, with strong foundations in our Catholic faith. I am looking forward to how this ministry shapes our kids and prepares them for the world.

I put in no effort. I showed no real commitment, unlike everyone else. Then I realized how hard everyone else was working, not for the chip alone, but for each other… I started giving it my all every practice, and look where it got us. Our last game ever, Champioships.

The support and encouragement that the coaches brought. When my child struggled, they were right there to motivate her, even if that meant running alongside her

Haley Neubert

My coach and team taught me that being a good person with a good hear is better than being the best athlete. They showed me what mattered most was my mindset towards the sport, and my attitude to others. These people supported me throughout the whole season, and offered me their respect, encouragement and kindness.

I think CYO sports matter because it provides a safe place and awesome community where you can be yourself and feel appreciated. You know that your coaches care.

The program has really helped develop not only basketball skills, but also character, teamwork, discipline, confidence and sportsmanship. I’ve seen how the players learned to support and encourage one another, work together as a team, and show respect both on and off the court. I truly appreciate the positive impact the program and coaches have had on the kid.

Lorenzo Extra
